A brigade of lamborghinis were spotted in Port Hardy Saturday morning.

The vehicles stopped in Port Hardy as part of a charity fundraising drive for the BC Cancer Society, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, and British Columbia’s Children’s Hospital.

The luxury sports cars were parked at the Quarterdeck Inn &Marina on Hardy Bay Road.

Natalie Rossiter, the branding and event manager for Lamborghini Vancouver said the crew of about half a dozen lambourghini owners stopped in Port Hardy for lunch while they did a quick tour of the North Island.

“The road up was really nice and we had great weather,” said Rossiter. “We came off the ferry in Nanaimo and stopped in Campbell River to go to the Vancouver Island Motorsports Association and go on the raceway.”

Rossiter said all drivers paid an entrance fee for the trip and the money raised is going to support the three B.C. charities.

The lamborghini owners were inspired to raise money in support of Lamborghini Vancouver Sales Manager Robert Rons. He is planning on cycling from Paris to Geneva to raise money for charity.

Rons, who lost his sister-in-law to cancer, is donating 100 per cent of the proceeds raised from the 550km long ride to the three charities.
