In loving memory of Karl Darwin Thomas of Port Hardy, B.C. born on July 17th, 1939 in Trail B.C.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karl on February 27th.
Karl was the essence of a true entrepreneur, a successful businessman, 3rd generation and lifelong commercial fisherman that started his fishing empire in Alert Bay, B.C. at the age of 14.
He was known for his zest for life, enjoying a cold drink in the sun, hard work, determination, and generosity leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew him.
Rest in Peace Karl, you will be deeply missed and your memory will be forever cherished.
Predeceased by his parents Tim and Opal Thomas.
Survived by Sister Loretta (Gord) McNeil, Partner Waldtraut, Sons Allan and Keith, and grandchildren Darrell, Chelsea, Samantha, Charlene, and Brittany. Nieces Carla, Dawn and Holly. 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on March 23rd, 2024, at 1 pm at the Civic Center, 7450 Columbia St, Port Hardy, B.C.
