Kevin Marshall Beecroft (Tinney)

January 20th, 1958 to August 15th, 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, on Sunday, August 15th, after a valiant struggle with cancer, with his best buddy and biking partner, Ken (Rhino) Ryan, life partner Mary Lou and his mother, Valerie, by his side. His spirit was strong to the very end.

Kevin was predeceased by his brother, Michael Beecroft, father, Kenneth Beecroft, and maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his mother Valerie Tinney, stepfather Lawrence Tinney, life-partner Mary-Lou, brother Shaun Tinney, nieces Kayla, Alanna and Deziree Tinney, of Nanoose Bay, Aunt and Uncle Shirley and Ken Machan, of Edmonton, Alberta, along with cousins and many good friends throughout B.C. and Alberta.

He was born in Wainwright, Alberta, lived in Calgary and then moved to Nanoose Bay with his family at age 10. He attended school in Nanoose Bay and Parksville. He took a course in Heavy Duty Mechanics but unable to secure work in that field found employment with CanFor Forest Products in Port McNeill, where he resided until the present time. His main passions in life were fishing and riding his Harley with his biking buddy, Ken. They spent many happy hours roaming the Island and the Okanagan.

By request there will be no formal service. There will, however, be a get-together at the Nanoose Library Hall, Nanoose Bay, (corner of Northwest Bay and Nanoose Bay Roads) on Saturday, September 11th, at 4:00 p.m. For more info in this regard please email or phone Val at tinney55@telus.net, 250-468-7556 or Shaun Tinny at shaunalicia2010@hotmail.com

Our thanks go out to all doctors and medical staff who administered to Kevin’s needs, and special thanks to Ken (Rhino) for all you did for Kevin from start to finish. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Cancer Society or to the campaign to save Moorcroft Camp, Nanoose Bay, www.nalt.bc.ca for info if you so wish.

Bro., as you ride into Eternity with the wind in your hair

you will always be in our hearts. God Bless.
