Mary Catherine Sherlock

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of Mary on August 17 in Port Hardy, BC. Mary was born in London the third child of T. Patrick Sherlock and Marion Eaton.
Mary is survived by her brother Tom Sherlock (Susan) of Surrey BC, and sister Susan Caplan Sherlock (Barry) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, nephews Matthew, Christopher, and niece Allison. She is survived by her Aunt Irene (Dan) Connelly and cousins Joanne Culp (Steve) and Jerry Connelly.
Survived by Jack and Betty Sherlock; Ray (Donna), and Helen (Donald) Eaton. Many cousins: Russell (Ei), Angela (Bruce), Rita May, RoseAnn (Dave), Mary Anne, Jim, Sandra, Joe (Chris), Paula (Ger), Bill (Maureen), Mike (Karen), Dan (Karen), Tim (Jennifer), Phil (Debra), Janice, Denise(Roy), Robert (Jennifer); David, Douglas, Janice (Stephen), Terry, Larry, Diane, Rick , Ron, Dennis, Barry, Tim (Margie), Paul, Ray (Gail), Rita, Mike (Val), & Lynn.
Mary made Port Hardy her home and came into her own. She was a professional social worker with compassion to her clients, community and friends. Sister Susan was the celebrant in a circle of life on Aug. 24 at the Providence Place. Speaking from the heart were the Mayor Bev Parnham, North Island (NI) College instructor Nikki Shaw, NI community services Joan Holm, and many other organizations that Mary volunteered her time and talents.
Mary will be interned at St Anne’s, Parksville, BC beside her mother Marion.
Mary gave significantly to many charities and she would appreciate any donations be made to the
