Simonne (Marie) Hall

June 11, 1931-March 31, 2014


It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Simonne Marie Hall, on March 31, 2014, in Port Hardy, BC, with her daughters at her side.


Born Marie Simonne Hall on June 11, 1931 in Morinville Alberta, she was one of fifteen children of Leopold and Rose Froment. They later moved to Port Coquitlam, BC, where Simonne grew up. In 1952, she married her husband Les Hall (predeceased in October 2006), and moved to the original townsite of Port Alice, BC. In 1969, they relocated to where the townsite is today.


Simonne leaves behind many who cherished her: daughters Lorrainne (Clyde), Debbie (Dennis), Wendy (Warwick), Michelle (Chris). Her grandchildren: Billy, Jimmy,Harry, Brandie, Denise, Jodi and Derek. As well as many great-grandchildren. Her siblings: Albert Froment, Val Froment, Lucille McFadden, Margaret Lilje,

and Yvonne Fries.


By request there will be no service however, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society on her behalf. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.


The family wished to express their warmest thanks to the staff of the Port Hardy Hospital, and to Dr. Lee, for their compassionate care during the time of Simonne’s hospitalization.
