September 30, 1932 to November 5, 2015

Torsten Carlson passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2015 in the Simon Fraser Lodge, Prince George, surrounded by loved ones.

Survived by his brother Walter, sister Edie, his 5 daughters: Lucy (Doug) Graham, Melody (Ben) Bodenham, Edith

(Gord) Patalla, Kathleen (Dale) Olsen & Elizabeth (Jim) Masterman.

Last but not least his good friend Rita Wakoluk. His many grandchildren:

Carrie, Matt, Crystal, Timothy, Miranda, Steven, Tory, Stephanie, Ellissa, Delya, Kyrylo, Maryana & Maddison. great-grandchildren: Abby, Kayden, Kiah, Caitlyn, Tyrel, Rylie, Camille, Izic, Cassidy, Owen, Isaac, Noah, Shaniel, Gabreil, Kiran, Eden & Elly. He is predeceased by his parents: Alvar & Margret Carlson, brother Evert

Carlson, sister-in-law: Kate Carlson, Loving son: Kitson Harry Carlson & Cousin: Eddy Johnson.

Torsten was born in Port Alberni, BC Canada. He moved with his parents to Eaglet Lake where the three bothers created the Lone Oak Ranch. He married Karen Vineyard and had 5 beautiful children. He married Silvana Sousa in 1976 and had a beautiful daughter, Elizabeth in 1977. The new family then moved to Sointula in 1981. He was a volunteer on the Fire Department. He was also a long-time member of the Lions Club and helped put the emergency phone line in Sointula. He worked for the Department of Highways and retired

as Foreman in 1986. He moved back to Port Alberni 1999 and started Redford’s Old and New with Rita Wakoluk. Due to Alzheimer he moved back to Prince George 2009 to be close to family. As a young man he loved working with his father in the logging industry. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring our great province of BC. He will be dearly missed

by all who knew him.
