Dear editor,
We have many beautiful places here on the North Island.
One of these is Clint Beek recreation site on Keogh Lake.
I have enjoyed many wonderful days in the sun, on the beach, and canoeing around the lake.
Friends, neighbours, and fellow campers would often borrow my canoe for a paddle, so I decided to leave it there for all to enjoy.
Last Sunday was another pristine day, so I thought I’d go out to the lake for a paddle, and bring my canoe in for the winter.
When I got to the lake there was only a trail in the sand, where my canoe use to be. Perhaps my canoe will find its way back to me and all those who enjoyed it last summer ....
