The Victor’s Secret Fashion Show returned to the Port McNeill Community Hall for its 12th anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 25, and it was another hugely successful fundraiser for cancer patients who live Woss-north.
“Over the last 12 years, Victor’s Secret has given over $65,500 to North Island cancer fighters to help with expenses for travel, meals, accommodations, and wigs, etc,” said Organizer Cheryl Verbrugge in a statement. “It takes a lot of people to pull this event off. Thank you to our committee, our models, our sponsors/donators, our bartenders, our MC, DJ, and our audience, from near and far.”
She added it was another amazing night, and she “could not be more grateful for the never-ending support for our cause.”
All told, this year the Victor’s Secret Fashion Show raised almost $15,000, with donations still coming in.
The fashion show features a group of North Island men dancing down a catwalk while wearing special bras that were created by community members.
