PORT HARDY—Multiple generations of North Islanders gathered last week to create while sharing aboriginal parenting traditions.

The gathering at Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre was to facilitate a survey by Laurel Anderson, Aboriginal Liaison for Island Health, who wanted to hear the experiences of mothers’ travels to the birthing centre at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox.

Between interviews, participants created small button blankets that will be donated for a display at St. Joseph’s.
