PORT McNEILL—Invited to Port McNeill harbour Friday night for an unspecified “special event,” friends and family of members of Kendra Hall’s Zumba fitness class had no idea what to expect.
Until, that is, the new concrete dock erupted in song and nearly 20 dancers broke into a choreographed Zumba routine.
The event was the brainchild of member Jackie Hildering, who said, “May this forever be known as the Zumba dock.”
After applause from the spectators, other members serenaded Hildering with “Happy Birthday” and produced a tray of cupcakes made by Tanya Dineen.
