The Port Alice Health Forum was proud to present pharmacist Abdolsamad "Sammy" Chalangarian with a welcoming gift to show its appreciation for his show of confidence in the community.

Chalangarian recently opened Port Alice Pharmacy in the village of Port Alice, located on the northern tip of Vancouver Island, and he is currently in the process of relocating his family there from the Lower Mainland.

"We gave him this particular plant because, as a pharmacist, we thought he would appreciate the aloe vera for its medicinal qualities," noted PAHF Chairperson Catherine Beatty.
