The 2024 Terry Fox Run was held once again on Sunday, Sept. 15 at Carrot Park in Port Hardy. The cancer research fundraiser featured an easy warmup with some great tunes, as well as inspirational messages written along the 1k and 5k routes with lots of cheering from the volunteers at the finish line. Registration started early in the morning at 9:00 a.m. with the runs commencing at 10:00 a.m. and the event ending around 11:30 a.m.
All told, organizer Janet Dorward confirmed afterwards this was the best Port Hardy Terry Fox Run ever held with 46 participants, 12 volunteers, and $8,029 raised.
