Rob Driemel, past president of the Port Hardy Royal Canadian Legion, and Leslie Driemel, treasurer for the Port Hardy legion, were out and about on Thursday, Feb. 20 making big donations in their community.
This year, the legion noted it is very pleased to announce they will be able to donate $8,300 to local organizations and $20,500 to Veterans Programs and Services.
"Our recent donation to Wounded Warriors BC of $4,250 includes $250 from Sean Patterson of Patterson Plumbing who came to our rescue to fix a waterline break and requested we donate the repair cost to Wounded Warriors BC on his behalf," stated a media release from the legion. "Thank you, Sean!"
