Residents of the Village of Port Alice braved the rainy weather to honour the fallen on Remembrance Day at their local cenotaph at 11 a.m.
"This sombre day is a reminder of the sacrifices of Canadians in two world wars and other conflicts around the globe," said B.C. premier David Eby in a statement to media. "We also remember the price paid by their families."
