PHSS students volunteer at beach cleanup grad fundraiser

Keltic Seafoods/Pacific Seafood Group were once again the sponsor for the fundraiser

A small but dedicated group of students from Port Hardy Secondary School’s Grad 2024 class showed up on Saturday, May 25, to clean up the shorelines of Storey’s Beach and the waterfront in town.

Keltic Seafoods/Pacific Seafood Group were once again the sponsor for this annual fundraiser, providing not only the Hi Vis vests, gloves, and the garbage bags, but also helping with the disposal of all the garbage the students were able to pick up.

Each group met bright and early at 10 a.m. to take advantage of the low tide.

“We only got hit by one rain squall and managed to complete our task in just under two hours,” noted grad parent Sabrina Dent.
