Port Hardy's pool celebrates fortieth birthday in style

PORT HARDY— The biggest birthday party in Port Hardy last weekend was held at the swimming pool as the venue celebrated its fortieth.

To mark the event the pool was decorated with banners and balloons and its doors opened to the public Sunday for a free family swim day.

Plenty of locals took advantage of the offer and joined in a chorus of Happy Birthday as a birthday cake, decorated in the style of the pool, was brought out for the occasion.

Port Hardy Councillor John Tidbury and Melinda Dennison cut the cake and dished out slices to the partygoers at the poolside bash.
