Port Hardy Fire Rescue hosted the Vancouver Island Firefighters Association Fall Training Seminar.

Port Hardy Fire Rescue hosted the 2017 Vancouver Island Firefighters Association Fall Training Seminar on Nov. 18-19. The seminar featured a full roster of trainees (over 60 firefighters!), from departments including Port Hardy, Port McNeill Fire Rescue, Port Alice Volunteer Fire Department, Coal Harbour Volunteer Fire Department, Sointula Volunteer Fire, Hyde Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Woss Volunteer Fire, Sayward Volunteer Fire, Ladysmith Volunteer Fire Company, Sahtlam Volunteer Fire Dept, Malahat Fire Rescue, Oyster River Fire Rescue, and Mill Bay Fire Rescue. There was also a meet-and-greet Friday night at Port Hardy Fire Hall No. 1, complete with plenty of appetizers.
