Harpdog Brown is bringing his Travelin’ Blues Show to Sayward.
This band is a must see for Blues lovers, as it lays down a LoFi sound like the recordings of early post WW11 Chess and Sun records.
Enjoy the percussive style of Pat Darcus on bass and the lowdown guitar style of Jordie Edmonds as they accompany the harp and gritty vocals of two-time and reigning Maple Blues Award winner Harpdog Brown.
Harpdog has been active in Canada’s blues scene for almost four decades. He was born in Edmonton in 1962 and began playing guitar at age 15. Based in Vancouver, Harpdog has travelled thousands of miles playing club dates and festivals in Canada, The U.S. and Germany. He has issued seven albums, one – Home Is Where the Harp Is – was nominated for a Canadian Juno for best Blues recording. In 2010, his album Naturally was voted #1 Canadian Blues Album.
The Sayward Valley Folk Music Society is hosting Harpdog Brown and the Travelin’ Blues Show in concert as part of their 2018 tour to promote their latest album Travelin’ With the Blues.
Audiences everywhere love this show. So come and be a part of the experience on Sunday, March 11 at the Sayward Heritage Hall 1257 Sayward Road in Sayward. The show starts at 7 p.m. An open mic preceeds the show at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30.

The Sayward Valley Folk Music Society continues to promote live acoustic folk music in a family friendly atmosphere the second Sunday evening of every month from February through December, at the Heritage Hall.
