A 60 year old Port McNeill man is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Port McNeill RCMP, in conjunction with the Island District General Investigation Section, arrested the male on May 11.
The male, who is long term resident, was arrested at the boat launch on Beach Drive in Port McNeill.
As a result of the arrest and subsequent investigation, the RCMP also executed a search warrant on his residence and seized the male’s vehicle.
When asked to comment, Port McNeill Sgt. Andy Phillips said the matter is still under investigation and they are not able to release any more details on the incident.
