Knife wielding suspect sought in October gas station robbery

The Port Hardy RCMP request the public’s assistance in identifying a knife carrying, masked male suspect involved in a robbery.

“On Oct. 11 at approximately 3:13 a.m., two masked men entered a Port Hardy gas station,” stated Cst. Julie Miller in a news release. “One of the men was holding a knife. The two suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.”

Miller stated that luckily the gas station employee was not physically injured, but they were shaken up by the incident.

“The Port Hardy RCMP is working on following up on all leads, and have identified and arrested one of the men,” said Miller. “We need the public’s help in identifying the second man. If you know something or saw something, we would like to hear from you.”

The male suspect was wearing a white/black hoodie, with red gloves, and holding a knife.

The man is described as:


approximately 6 feet (183cm) tall;

wearing a black/white hooded sweatshirt, mask and red gloves.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident or anyone able to identify the suspect to contact the Port Hardy RCMP at 250-949-6335.
