Ryan Mitchell’s councillor candidate biography

I was raised in Prince Rupert and have spent most of my life on the coast. I have been on Vancouver Island since 1990 and in Port McNeill for 12 years. I operated various successful businesses over my working career and until 2012 operated Mitchell’s Appliance Service in Port McNeill. Currently I am semi-retired, providing Financial Planning services from my office in Port McNeill. I served for several years on the (now dormant) Harbor Advisory Committee for the Town of Port McNeill. I have worked with Junior Achievement Canada providing financial literacy training in our local High School. I serve the Port McNeill Baptist Church as the church clerk. Currently I am on the Cannabis Advisory Committee. My priorities will be to provide thoughtful consideration to all the needs of our community; keep our amenities affordable by spending wisely; and to promote transparent and open debate on town business.
