Port Alice local Drew Frank auctioned off one of the hardest to find Christmas gifts this year, a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Classic, with all the proceeds going to the Port Alice Food Bank.
Frank picked up the NES Classic in Alberta, spending $100 of his own money on the video game machine.
After days of bids being cast back-and-forth, Frank announced the winning bidder ($360) on Dec. 20. Frank also collected an extra $40 donation for the Port Alice Food Bank to bring the total money raised to an even $400.
The NES Classic is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES released in 1985.
