A man was found unresponsive near the North Shore Inn on the night of Dec. 30.
“We were notified through a third party that a person may have passed away. We investigated, and it appears that the person had suffered a medical emergency and was located outside on the ground, near the North Shore Inn,” said Corp. Stu Foster.
“The ambulance attended and transported the person to the hospital where it appears they died from heart failure three hours later.”
The death has been deemed non suspicious. The Port Hardy RCMP will not be investigating further.
