Police say a man in his mid-twenties died Wednesday (Sept. 25) after an incident involving a workplace injury at a Langford construction site.

The victim was an employee at the construction site and died of his injuries at the scene, West Shore RCMP said.

Police were called about an unconscious man at the site, located in the 1400-block of Pinehurst Place, and officers arrived just before 1 p.m. Paramedics and police applied life-saving measures once on scene, West Shore RCMP said.

WorkSafeBC and the BC Coroners Service have been advised of the man's death and police are investigating the incident.

Police said efforts are underway to notify the man's family and no further details will be provided at this time.
