A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck off the West coast of Vancouver Island last night at 1:47 am PST.
The USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) reports the quake was located 182km SW of Port Hardy at a depth of 28km.
Emergency Info B.C. says Tsunami waves are not expected and there is no threat to the province.
