Transportation ministry seeks stakeholder input

PORT HARDY—Parliamentary secretary to visit Sept. 16 for meetings with civic, business and First Nations leaders.

PORT HARDY—Priorities for transportation on Vancouver Island will be discussed during a series of stakeholder meetings hosted by Jordan Sturdy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, which began this week in Victoria.

Meetings will take place in seven Island communities, including Port Hardy on Sept. 16.

The session will not be open to the public. Instead, the parliamentary secretary has invited elected local government officials, First Nations and other community leaders, including local Chambers of Commerce and port and airport authorities, to the regional meetings.
