Andre William Borer
April 13, 1925-December 14, 2012
Born April 13, 1925, Andre Borer passed away peacefully on December 14, 2012, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, mother of Barbara, Scoot (Kathy) and John (Wendy). Left to treasure his memory is his caring wife of 27 years, Marnie, and his grandchildren Stephanie (Randy) Manke, Kelsey (Kristen), Angie (Elis) Mant, Nicole and Kristin; great-grandchildren Evan, Tyce and Darian.
For the past 27 years, Marnie shared his world of logging, family and boating. Andre went to work in the woods at a very young age and eventually became a partner in his father’s business, J. Borer Trucking. He went on to become a successful independent logging contractor, forming his own company, Borer Logging; logging in Port Hardy, Mahatta River and Doc Creek before retiring in 1998. He loved to watch the trees grow and was logging in his dreams when he passed.
After retiring, his passion changed to his boat, the
Mar-Ell Mist II and gardening. His optimistic and tenacious personality will be remembered by all.
On December 20, 2012, a private graveside service was held at the Port Hardy cemetery.
