Born in Calgary, Art is survived by his wife, Dolores (Dolly); grandson, Ryan Beddington; daughters, Tina (Bruce) and Diane; son Dale, of Parksville; his step-children, Robert, Bear Lake, BC; Peter (Irene), Nova Scotia; Neil (Marg), Surrey; John, Ladner; Sherry (Doug), Ladner; Alan, Ladner; brothers, Dave (Julie) Calgary; Gordon (Anne) and sister Ev of Calgary. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and great nieces; brother-in-law, Merrill (Valerie), Coquitlam; sisters-in-law, Loreen (Bill), 100 Mile House; Ruth, Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. He was pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Art was a member of the Port McNeill Lions Club and retired volunteer for the Hyde Creek Firehall. A long-time grader operator for TimberWest, Art was well known for his grading and volunteer work.
