David Gerard Sigalet

1945 ¬– 2008

David Gerard Sigalet, age 63, of Port McNeill, BC, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 23, 2008.

Born in Summerland, BC, he was the eldest son of Dagmar (Johanson) and the late Walter Sigalet.

Dave was employed as an accountant at Western Forest Products for over 30 years. He immensely enjoyed all the laughs and comrodery of the people at the volunteer associations he was a part of. He was a director and volunteer at the Marble River Hatchery and a board member and volunteer at NVISEA. Dave was an outstanding outdoorsman who loved nothing more than taking his family and friends fishing and hunting.

He will be sadly missed by his loving family; 3 children Kris (Jeneen), Williams Lake, BC, Julie (Eric) Beal, Fanny Bay, BC, Sean (Jen), Victoria, BC; mother Dagmar, Langley, BC; 3 brothers Eric (Annemarie), Langley, BC, Marvin (Genevieve), Surrey, BC, Jon (Linda), Aldergrove, BC; 3 sisters Loraine (James) Davis, Langley, BC, Colleen (Joe) Woldanski, Aldergrove, BC, Joyce (Tom) Vickery, Fort Langley, BC; 3 grandchildren Björn and Abayah (Kris), soon to be newborn (Julie), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Walter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marble River Hatchery.

In keeping with Dave's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A service will be held at the Marble River Hatchery later this fall.

We and the fish are sure going to miss you, Dave.
