February 23, 1954 - June 10, 2019
On June 10th, 2019, a well-known cultural ambassador, mom, grandmother, sister and daughter, Diane Bell, passed away suddenly in Alert Bay. Her family comes from Fort Rupert, from Namgis Nation and from Mammilikula. Diane was one of the set of twins, her sister Debra was born an hour earlier on Feb. 23, 1954 in Alert Bay.
Soon after she returned to the West Coast, meeting the 1st love of her life Basil Amber's at 19 year old. They had 3 children. Diane later married Rob Bower who passed away 3 years ago. They were together for 20 years.
She leaves grandchildren Kaysha, Andrew and Matthew and 1 granddaughter Emma as well as sisters, a brother, many nephews and nieces and of course all Hunt relatives in Fort Rupert and Bell and Cook relatives in Alert Bay.
We buried her in the Namgis Burial grounds.
