June 2, 1930 - June 26, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald McDonald. He passed away peacefully at home on June 26th, 2018 in Victoria, BC after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife Viann, and his two children Lori and Daryl, and his brother Bob, niece Francine, nephew Gary, and five grandchildren, Connor, Dalton, Wyatt, Madeline and Jordyn. Don was predeceased by his wives Joan and Barb, his mother Margaret, sister Arlie, and son Keith.

Born on June 2nd, 1930 in St Boniface MB. Don served in the Canadian military for 27 years including the Korean War, two tours in Cypress, three tours in Germany and all over Canada. He went on to work at the BHP Mine in Port Hardy for 19 years before retiring to Quadra Island. Don loved his family and friends.

He had a special place in his heart for the Royal Canadian Legion and worked tirelessly for years and received the highest life time achievement award. Don lived life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. His laughter and charm will be sorely missed.

Don's service will be on July 28th on Quadra Island.
