January 31, 1934 - January 3, 2021
Donald passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Born January 31, 1934, in Edmonton, Alberta, Don and his wife, Enid, moved their family to Vancouver Island in 1972.
After a long career with BHP Mines in Port Hardy, Don and Enid retired to the Nanaimo area in 1994, where their home soon became the focal point for extended family gatherings.
Known for always having a needed tool, for always being willing to lend a hand, and for always being ready with a zinger, Don's passing has left a large hole in our family.
Don is survived by his wife of 64 years, Enid, his sons, Colin (Christine) and Kevin (Kelly), as well as his sister Joan, and his brothers Alan and Ken (Margaret). He leaves behind six grandchildren (Dylan, Gryphon, Lauren, Dayna, Steven and Bryan), and many nieces and nephews.
