Dorothy Louise Westlake

of Port Hardy, BC, passed away February15, 2011 aged 90 years. She is survived by one son, Peter (Heather) Chapman of Arkansas, USA, one stepson, John (Maureen) Westlake of Baden Ontario, two daughters, Joanne (Merv) Perrow of Fort Erie Ontario, Lauren (Tim) Deadman of Port Hardy BC, two stepdaughters, Lynne Westlake of Palmerston Ontario, Cheryl (Mike) Thivierge of Holland Landing Ontario, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by former husbands, John Ernest Chapman and Frederick Arthur Westlake and by two granddaughters, Lisa Thivierge and Shelley Deadman. A memorial service will be held in Ontario at a later date. Donations may be made to the District of Port Hardy Animal Shelter, P.O. After a long and good life, Dorothy (Dot) is lovingly missed by family and friends. She was the last of a family of six children.
Dorothy’s family gratefully acknowledges the exceptional level of care and love she received from Dr. Zaayman and from the staff at Eagle Ridge Manor, where she spent the last 14 months of her life. We are grateful to our many friends who accepted Dorothy into their lives. We also wish to recognize the staff at the local Overwaitea store who made Mom feel special every time she entered the store.
