Duncan Bruce McLennan

Passed away suddenly in Ladysmith, BC.

Bruce was born in Richmond BC and moved to Nanoose as a young boy. The family then moved to Port Hardy where he lived his teenage years. He married in 1972 and then moved his young family to the Sunshine Coast in 1978, where he worked for MacMillan & Bloedel. After M&B closed, he worked for many other logging companies including Avalon Drysort, Sandy Gibb Trucking and Terminal Forest Products.

His love of cars has been his insight to the community and he started his own business, “Billy Bob’s Rod Shop”. Through this he became well known in the auto repair and restoration industry on the Sunshine Coast.

He is predeceased by other family members, Bob Allen (Dad), Elsie Stella (Mom), Glen (Brother) and long-time friends William Price and Owen Williams. He is survived by his wife Linda McLennan (Voll), his daughter Nealy Purdy (Robb) of Squamish, his son William McLennan (Jaime) of Gibsons, brothers Keith McLennan (Jayne) of Lantzville and James McLennan (Kari-Anne) of Ladysmith, granddaughters Saphron and Gates of Squamish, step-children Shari-Lynn Voll (Kingsley) and Chris Voll (Angie) and many nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest later this year in Port Hardy.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
