Elzbieta Hanna Grygorasz
1958 - 2009
It is with heavy hearts and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother Elzbieta (Ela) Grygorasz. She lost her lengthy battle with cancer on October 7, 2009. She is survived by her husband John (Janusz), and her two children Paul and Caroline.
Ela leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and courage that continues to shine upon all those whose lives she touched. She was thoughtful, generous, understanding and enthusiastic in all her endeavours. These qualities will forever be remembered in our hearts.
For the last seven years preceding her passing, Ela and her husband lived in Sointula B.C. A place described as serene and bountiful for the soul to thrive and the body to live.
The continuous support from her family, friends and community propelled her courage and strengthened her soul during the last four years of her battle.
A “Celebration of Life” was held at the Athletic Hall in Sointula on October 14, 2009 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Malcolm Island Lions Club FINN Fund. They have been such a tremendous support to John and Ela on this journey.
