With sadness we announce the passing of Joyce on August 2, 2006. Born in Coventry, England on March 23, 1921. Predeceased by beloved husband Walter. Survived by children: Jim (Judy), Allan (Darlene), Jill (Fred), Jackie (Ted). Grandchildren: Jim Jr. (Joy), Susan (Dan), Athena (Jeff), Walter Jr. (Amber), Dylan, Kelly, Matthew, Samantha and six great-grandchildren. In 1946, she came to Canada as a war bride and new mother. During their 55 years of marriage, they resided in several Vancouver Island logging camps, Chemainus, Pulteney Point Lighthouse, Sointula, and Duncan. Joyce’s family and friends meant the world to her. Thank you to all the volunteers and care providers at the Chemainus Health Care Centre.
