Johnson, Eric Holger

Holger will be missed by his family and friends. Holger was born in 1926 in the town of Blairmore, Alberta. and passed away Aug the 10th 2006 in the town of Parksville after a brief illness.

Holger spent many of his youthful years in Port Alberni and the beaches of Parksville and Qualicum Beach. As many of his peers Holger was offered the opportunity to go to work in the forests as a logger with Macmillan and Bloedel. Working all over the island as a faller Holger was drawn to a life of logging in the Port Hardy area due to the rugged beauty of the surrounding country. Spending many years raising his family in Port Hardy Holger developed many friendships and fishing buddies.

Holger is survived by his loving wife Shirley and three children, two grandchildren and two great Grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life on the 2nd of September from 1-4pm at 534 Pym street Parksville B.C. no cards or flowers. Memories and pictures are greatly appreciated.
