Fran Tarkanen of Sointula, born October 10, 1936, peacefully passed away March 21, 2003. She leaves behind her loving husband Albert Tarkanen, her mother Curly Hamilton, sisters Pat Schmidt, Phyllis (Doug) Banks, brother Alex (Judy) Hamilton and her sons Scott (Cheryl), Douglas (Audrey), and Martin Drury and her grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003, 1:00 pm at the Comox Golf Club in Comox, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sointula Seniors Centre, Box 75, Sointula, BC V0N 3E0.
Fran will never be forgotten, she will be in our hearts forever.
