Francis Joseph (Paddy) Borg
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paddy at age 82. He is survived by the love of his life Garth, son Brent (Lynea) and grandchildren Matthew and Joshua, sisters Yvonne (Bud), Iris (Jack) and Joyce (Steve) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paddy moved to Jeune Landing in 1968 were he drove logging truck and ran dump machine until retirement in 1992 after 50 yrs of service in the woods. Paddy had a great life and many friends. He was president of the Jeune Landing Community Club for many years and was well known for his Sunday morning breakfasts at the curling lounge during bonspiels. He had a love of fishing and camping at Cluxewe where he was known as the “Mayor”.
Paddy and Garth retired to Campbell River in 2002 and spent the last 7 years hanging out with other Port Alice retirees there.
A gathering of friends will be held at Shelter Bay Resort, 3860 S. Is. Hwy, Campbell River on Saturday, July 11 at 1 P.M.
