Burger Frank In loving memory of Frank, June 27, 1915 to June 28, 2003. Frank, aged 88 years, passed away quietly at Nanaimo Regional Hospital the day after celebrating his 88th birthday with family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 37 years Elnore Mildred (1968) and 5 sisters and three brothers. He will be missed by daughters Lois (Martin), Darris (Lou), Lynne (Mark) and sons Frank (Joni), Shannon (Patti), Brian. Also left to mourn sister Eva and brother Kayo. Frank was a loving grandfather of 15 and greatgrandfather of 8. Frank came to BC in 1936 to play hockey for the Trail Smokeaters, worked in both Trail and Calgary for CM&S Company until 1948 when he went to work in the hotel industry. During the next 40 years he owned hotels in Salmo, Victoria, Courtenay, Port Hardy and Port McNeill. He served several years on the board of the BC Hotels Association and also served as president and past president. While living in Victoria he actively participated in the Christmas lighting competition and won several prizes. He retired in 1990 and began to travel the world. During his travels he visited every continent. He was an avid gardener and spent many happy hours in his yard. Frank’s “willingness to work” ethic stood by him his whole life and this legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Graveside service on Thursday, July 3, Royal Oak Cemetery at 1:00 pm. No flowers, by request. Donations to the heart and stroke fund.
