George Andrew Culbert

Passed away peacefully and with a song in his heart on August 11, 2007 at Port Hardy, British Columbia. Born October 16, 1911 in Lurgen, Ireland, George was predeceased by his beloved wife Murriel, predeceased by his sisters May McKeown, Anne Cooper, brothers Bill and Fred Culbert. George leaves behind one daughter Betty (Larry) Sheaves, grandchildren Paul (Pam) Sheaves, Lisa (Jamie) Harrison, great grandchildren Jordan, Ashley, Emma, Eythan and Jonathan.

Four nieces Gail Eyssen, Patricia Fry, Joy March, Barbara Aven and two nephews Bob and Fred Culbert.

George served overseas in World War II and then pursued an amateur career in Opera while studying to be an Accountant which he did for 25 years until retiring in 1973. George was known for his good nature and his love of singing. He resided in White Rock, BC for 20 years before coming to Eagle Ridge Manor Multi-Care Facility in April 2002.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Eagle Ridge Manor and Dr. Fletcher, for their excellent care of George, always with dignity and respect, also the housekeeping and the kitchen staff for their wonderful service they provided for George.
