Apr 21, 1930 - July 9, 2006 With his family by his side, George was taken suddenly of a stroke. Survived by his wife Evelyn; sons: Bob (Robyn), Joe (Carol); daughters: Pamela (Bryan), Valerie (Tim), and Susan; grandchildren: Nonnie (Frank), Leon (Kyoko), Leah, Bill (Megan), Rebecca, Jessica, Geoffrey and Stephanie; great-grandchildren: Cale, Taylor, Tamara, Rhyver, Yuta and Keira. George was born in Hazelton, BC, 4th of 8 children. He moved to Alberta in 1950 to work in the oil patch. He met Evelyn whom he married on August 3, 1951. He moved the family to Pt. McNeill in June, 1967, where he worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 1995. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A small family service was held July 15 at 2:00pm in Courtenay. Reception followed at daughter Valeries.
