George Howard Campbell

George Howard Campbell of Port Alice, born February 27, 1921 (formerly of P.E.I. and St. Catherines, Ontario) passed away suddenly in the Bahamas on February 14th, 2004.

 He was predeceased by his wife, Dee (nee Oatway), two daughters Bette Anne and Lorna, his sisters Mabel and Florence and brother Lloyd.

 Endearingly known as Pops, Grandpa or George, he will be deeply missed by daughter Joan and Howard McClelland of St. Catharines, Ont., son Willis and Ruth Campbell of Richmond Hill, Ont., grandchildren Tanya, Kelly, Scott, Tracey and Stephanie, great grandchildren Courtney, Robert, Holly, Michael, Riley, Mitchell, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Brodie, Zachary, Griffin, Campbell, Haedan, Francesca and one great-great grandson Jordan, his siblings, sister Minnie Martin and brother Jack and Edith of P.E.I., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and the Port Alice friends along with the many people he met in his travels, who became his family.

 Pops shared his retirement while living at Victoria Lake, with his immediate family and extended family. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the Port Alice Legion.

 A celebration of his life will be held at the Port Alice Legion, Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 1:00 pm.

 In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice are the family’s request.
