It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and wife of 65 years to Friedrich Karl Karter.
Mutti was born to Anton Leopold Baburek & Fransikca Hubel in Marschen Czechoslovakia. Mutti was predeceased by their beloved daughter Jutta Karter and her parents and sisters, Hilde Denk
and Margita Baburek.
She was a very accomplished artist, seamstress and her love for flowers and gardening lifted her spirits. She lived in Essen Huegel, Germany, Port Hardy, New Westminster, Thetis Island, Ladysmith and Port Alberni.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Moya Kelly, Sabrina Lamport (Terry), Amrit Shergill and Davy Shergill, her daughters Carmen Shergill, Gabrielle Osborne (Dave) and her great granddaughter Teagan Camille as well as extended relatives and friends in Germany and on Vancouver Island.
