Jul 29, 1950 - May 17, 2018
It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of Harold Matthew Siren (Matt) on May 17th, 2018.

Matt leaves behind his wife Shirley, daughter Pamela Siren and his beloved son in law Chad Hourie.

Matt was born in Albert Bay, BC on July 29th, 1950.

At Matt's request there will be no service. His wish to have his ashes scattered over the waters around Malcolm Island will be honored in privacy by his family.

As this was a sudden passing the family requests privacy as they need time to heal.

Matt has many friends through out Canada and relatives in Finland. He was always genuinely concerned about the welfare of all and always kept in touch.

Matt was employed in commercial fishing when he was younger moved on to logging camps as a mechanic, road builder and to school taking diesel engines, welding, and marine engineering. His knowledge and education took him far from home enabling him to provide for his family. He was a hard worker often enduring cold, long hours and loneliness. He was an honest, gentle, quiet man who made friends easily.

His last adventure was to relocate somewhere in the interior of BC. He enjoyed his last days on a beautiful ranch surrounded by individuals who have become life long friends for his family.

Matthew, we can smell the sockeye on the barbecue and taste the vodka in the glass!

You have left a hole in all our lives! Rest in peace our Love!
