We sadly announce the passing of Harold Stephens on August 6, 2009 when he lost his battle to cancer.
Harold was born in Northern Ireland, and immigrated to Port Hardy, BC Canada in 1973 with his wife Iris. They made Port Hardy their home, and raised their family here.
Harold will be sadly missed by his children; John (Erin), Colleen (Sheldon), Donna (Glen), Iris and his grandson Shaymis, his brother Wilf (Hilda) of Port Hardy, and his sisters Millicent (Billy), Hilda, Isobel (Malcolm) and their extended families of Northern Ireland.
The Family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and support staff of Port Hardy Hospital for their compassionate care and understanding at this very difficult time in our lives.
A Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, August 15th at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to the Port Hardy Hospital Palliative Care unit in Harold’s name.
