Harvey Harold Little

January 9, 1946-

April 15, 2013

Died April 15, 2013 at the Campbell River Hospital. Harvey was born January 9, 1946 in Chilliwack, BC. Survived by his brother Warren Little of Campbell River, sister Zela Moyer of Fort McMurray, aunt Dorothy Houlind of Nanaimo and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest Little and Hazel Logan and one brother, Zane.

Harvey went to work at an early age in the woods and did various jobs. He enjoyed working outdoors and during his last few working years, he was a grader operator. He loved to hunt and fish and could name every lake on the northern part of Vancouver Island, tell you where the fish were and how to catch them. He had a passion for baseball and for many years, he was an umpire and took that job very seriously. He belonged to the Lions Club and called Bingo for them. The big love of his life was his dogs and he treated them royally - when Harvey had steak - the dogs had steak. In later years, he suffered a stroke and eventually relocated to the Cormorant Island Community Health Centre. Here he enjoyed teasing the nurses, and his many antics made for lots of laughter amongst the staff. Harvey will be remembered for his generosity to all.

The family wishes to thank his neighbors and the home care workers in Port McNeill, Dr. Rowe, the nursing staff in Campbell River and especially Dr. Ham and the wonderful staff at Alert Bay for their tender care these last years.

Harvey has been cremated and a private family service will be held.
