At dawn on Friday, the 18th of February 2005, surrounded by those that he loved, Jeff left us too soon.
Born on the 10th of February, 1955 and predeceased by his father Don, Jeff is deeply loved and forever missed by so many; his wife Laura, children Travis, Chad and Sharri. Beloved son of Mary, adored brother of Shelley, Chris, Cathie, Bob and cousin Ken.
Nephew of Aileen, Gordon and Jean, cherished and admired uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, also missed by his cousins and all of the families.
Jeff’s life force was strong and he enriched the lives of his many friends in the communities of Port Hardy, North Vancouver and in far places. Jeff was filled with strength and beauty and wisdom. He loved life and his was rich in all that he was passionate about; his values, his family, lifelong friends, Sydney the dog, the great outdoors, the ocean, the mountains and the forest. He was an adventurer, a gourmet chef, a hunter and a fisherman, a traveler, a teacher, a poet, a philosopher and the best friend. Throughout this last difficult year we all gained hope and strength from Jeff’s courage and determination to beat the cancer that took his life.
We invite family and friends to gather and celebrate Jeff’s life on Saturday the 12th of March, 2005 at 3:00 pm at the Seven Hills Golf Club in Port Hardy. Wake to follow at The Sportsman Inn. In remembrance of Jeff, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Pacific Salmon Foundation, psf.ca
