In loving memory

John Albert Olsen

“Big John”

Passed away suddenly on November 6, 2003. Born August 21, 1954 at St. Josephs Hospital, Comox BC.

Pre-deceased by his parents Albert and Lauona Olsen, Auntie Catherine Olsen.

John is survived by his sisters Shirley (Jim) Logan, Myrna (Gary) Thomson, Betty Olsen, Irene Olsen, brother George (Maureen) Olsen and numerous nieces and nephews, not to mention an abundance of good friends.

John was known to most as Big John, the hunter, the fisherman, the logger, the pool player, the Harley biker, and the man who leaned on Walters counter.

Big John loved to B S with those who cared to share a story, share a good joke with those who had a good sense of humor.

Humor was something Big John had.

Big John spent much of his time working in logging camps, but always returned to his family and friends in Port McNeill.

We will truly miss Uncle John, Big John, brother John. His heart was just as big as he was.

As his great niece says, “Now there really is a big star in heaven.”

A celebration of John’s life will be held on November 15, 2003 1:00 pm at the Lions Hall, Port McNeill, BC.
