Scott: Joseph (Joe) Manley passed away with his wife Helen

of 57 years by his side on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the age of 82 years + 2 day.

Joe will be sadly missed by Helen and his family, sons David (Janice), Tom (Tina), Grandchildren Stephen (Melissa), Shawn (Jennifer), Laura, Matthew, Connor and Alex.  Great- Grandchildren Isabella and Jaden.

Joe and Helen arrived in Port McNeill in 1962 to work for Shop Rite. He was involved in the community as a Chartered member of the Port McNeill Lions Club, the Volunteer Fire Department and the Chamber of Commerce. Joe co-chaired the 1967 Centennial Committee. In the early years Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking with his young family. Joe and Helen were avid curlers for many years. In the later years Joe spent time relaxing and enjoying the view from their home that they built on Mountview Crescent.

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful Port McNeill Hospital Doctors and staff, and the kindness of family, friends and neighbours.

Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held Saturday, June 18th, 2016 from 1pm-3pm at the Port McNeill Lions Hall on Mine Road.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Joe’s name to the Port McNeill Hospital Auxiliary.
